Though it does need to incorporate white papers, lessons learned, best angles, outside experiences into a local matrix. I hope to help

Just because Rowling is who she is, I would leave out the bit about there being specific teams for specific powers, or at the very least, the part about that which is officially school business. Teams might gather unofficially and later be recognized as such (unofficially) by school officials, but never referred to as anything that even Seems like the teams/houses chosen by the sorting hat at Hogwarts. Unofficial all the way, there. As for the rest, many many authors wrote about schools for the training of wizards before Rowling ever set pen to paper. Rest easy on that. By the way, I admire your choice to mature more before considering your work ready or complete. I started writing at nine, and quickly realized I needed to grow up and have some adventures (as I called them then) of my own to write about. Maturity allows credible characterization of adults (for many writers; not all) and a much wider knowledge of how to write about and from the POV of various temperaments; also how best to write about, well, adventures. Good luck. ADD: My examples of older (than Rowling s) books about wizardly schools are "The Wizard of Earthsea" by Ursula K. LeGuin (you may want to read that great story if you haven t yet) and the lessons given the Wart (King Arthur during youth) by Merlyn in "The Once and Future King" by T.H. White (also a wonderful [much longer] book) and more, including legends with authors unknown they are so old.
