Тема: How to Write Guide: Sections of the Paper - Bates College

This Chapter outlines the logical steps to writing a good research paper. To achieve supreme excellence or perfection in anything you do, you need more than just the knowledge. Like the Olympic athlete aiming for the gold medal, you must have a positive attitude and the belief that you have the ability to achieve it. That is the real start to writing an A+ research paper.

Choose a topic which interests and challenges you. Your attitude towards the topic may well determine the amount of effort and enthusiasm you put into your research.

There are quite a bit of grammar mistakes - commas and periods missing. So for example, the last sentence, include a comma before - and - because youre combining sentences. Check back through for capitalization. You said till the damage gets serious. Do until. My English teacher always docks points for that because she says its too informal in a lot of cases? You should do until. For the bit "I want to get somewhere with it, put a hyphen "-" rather than a comma. Because youre putting emphasis. Instead of doing "and this show came up" say something along the lines of: changing the channels, and I stumbled upon a program about Muhammad Ali s life, and how he came to be a legacy. Teachers like it when you make things look nice. You really need to BS things. one part showed other great boxers talking about Muhammad Ali and how boxing affected his life after boxing paid close attention, Joe Frazier whom talked about Ali and it was hard to understand what he said because he could not talk clearly.

Hi I think your best bet is to consider the genre. Which genre is applicable to your context? Is it medical, linguistic. etc? After you decide, then find as many existing texts on the subject as you can. Read them and try to copy the style (not the content). If you re interested in language, then google for "Genre based teaching" or "The Sydney School".
